Star Gazing Tour

  • Join us for an interactive tour of the starry skies above Lake Tahoe. Learn about the constellations, and astronomy, and look for yourself with our powerful telescope.

Discover Kayaking Tour 55+

  • Description: For the beginner who wants to discover kayaking in a safe learning environment, this special 2-hour tour is waiting for you! Discover is an easy and accessible sport on the clear alpine waters of Lake Tahoe. A professional guide will provide a complete and thorough kayak lesson geared towards beginners followed by a tour along the coastline. More paddling tips as well as natural and human history discussions will be covered as we travel. Please bring your own water and snacks.

Hiking 55+

Rubicon Trail

  • Length: Beginner - 3 miles, out and back.
  • Located on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, this impressive trail travels along Lake Tahoe between Emerald Bay and DL Bliss State Parks. This easy-moderate hike affords stunning views of the famous Emerald Bay and Fannette Island. Starting from Emerald Bay parking area, your guide will lead you 1 mile down to the Vikingsholm Estate located along the shores of Lake Tahoe. Our hike starts with the history of this Scandinavian estate and the Knight family who built it. We will then continue along the shoreline, traveling out of Emerald Bay and then along the shores of Lake Tahoe towards DL Bliss State Park. The views are expansive.

Shirley Canyon Trail

  • Length: Intermediate - 5 miles out and back.
  • Shirley Canyon is right in the heart of Squaw Valley.  The hike begins wandering near the creek through the forest.  Along the way, we will pass cascading waterfalls (season dependent). Depending on the time of year this is a great place to spot many of the different alpine wildflowers. Shirley Canyon offers a different perspective and views of the valley below.
