The North Tahoe Public Utility District Recreation and Parks Department is a department of the North Tahoe Public Utility District. It originated in 1968 through Board action. 

The North Tahoe Public Utility District Recreation and Parks Department offers extensive recreational opportunities. Facilities have been made possible through acquisition contracts, grants, property exchanges, and an exceptionally supportive community.
